Livestock Improvement Corporation (LIC) recently supported an AI introduction training session for Hico Australia in Maffra, Victoria, run by Hilary Lunn and featuring ‘Henrietta’, LIC’s AI training simulator.

As part of the NHIA Australian Herd Improvement Industry Projects Funding Program, LIC received co-funding to increase the ability and knowledge of existing professional and DIY AI technicians through increasing the frequency of and access to AI refresher training.

Applications for Round 4 of the NHIA industry funding program close 31 January 2023 – apply here.

Hico Australia’s Joanne De Mol says LIC’s support of its training program was a key component of the success of the two day program.

“Having assess to Henrietta allowed the visual side of the process to be studied prior to the second day's hands in cows experience.

“Hilary's role and presentation was very professional, it opened up conversations and questions that were answered thoroughly,” says Joanne.

LIC’s Mike Rose says: “It’s great to be able to support service providers in upskilling staff in AI techniques and training. The NHIA funding program is really delivering where it counts and is bringing the next generation of technicians along.”

Don’t forget to apply for Herd Improvement Industry Funding  for your project by 31st January 2023.
