Orion Training delivers courses in Artificial Insemination, Semen Collection, Semen Assessment and Pregnancy Testing. 

Orion courses are delivered with an on-farm model.

Do you have or know of a farm that can host courses?

Orion are currently looking for a host farm in the Gippsland area.

Orion can run courses at any farm in NSW, NT, QLD, SA, TAS & VIC and has the following options available for farms that host.

PROGRAM 1

A course is booked to be delivered on your farm for you and /or your team and there is room to accommodate one (1) or more external students. For each external student we add to your course, Orion will pay you $150 per student.

PROGRAM 2

You are willing to host regular courses at a time of the year that suits your breeding practices. Orion will pay you $150 per student plus a $200 facility fee.

Students are supervised at all times and must follow strict Health and Safety procedures but we are also aware accidents can happen. Orion holds personal accident insurance covering all students who attend the course on your property.

Artificial insemination (AI) and fertility of livestock

Program details
Theory and simulated practical workshops held at our Yallourn campus followed by an on-farm practical assessment day. (Students must provide on farm, a minimum of ten cows per person for the assessment day.)

  • Repro tracts for visual and practical assessment
  • Small class size (maximum 6 students)
  • 5 cows available per student for practical training
