2025 NHIA ELECTION OF DIRECTORS – CALL FOR NOMINATIONS
The following is a list of the Association’s current Board of Directors:
Cathy Bourke (Chair) – Jetstream Genetics
Nick Brasher (Deputy Chair) – Farmwest
Paul Kenny (Treasurer) – Paul Kenny Breeding Services
Adam Daniel – Nu-Genes
Ronnie Hibma – Nexus Herd Development
Chris Kendall – World Wide Sires
In accordance with the Association rules, two directors will be retiring by rotation owing to the expiry of their term at the Annual General Meeting.
The two directors who are due to retire by rotation in this process are Cathy Bourke and Adam Daniel. While Adam Daniel has confirmed that he will re-nominate for his position on the Board, Cathy Bourke has indicated that she will not be available for nomination for a further three-year term.
Accordingly, nominations are hereby declared open and called for in the election of two directors to represent the membership of NHIA on the Board of Directors of the Association.
Please note that nominees must be nominated by a full NHIA member who is in good financial standing with the Association using the nomination form attached. The nomination must contain the written consent of the nominee.
If more than two (2) nominations are received this exceeds the number of vacant positions, then an electronic ballot of all financial members will be held. Members will be notified in the event that a ballot is required, and the vote will take place prior to the AGM.
As a member-driven organisation, NHIA highly value member input and believe that unique perspectives and expertise will greatly benefit our Association. Serving as a Director provides you with the platform to shape key decisions, offer strategic guidance, and champion initiatives that align with NHIA’s strategic mission.
If you are passionate about the industry and have a desire to make a difference and possess the necessary skills and experience to make a positive impact, we warmly invite you to submit your nomination for the Director position.

Members can nominate themselves through their respective organisation or nominate someone you believe would be an excellent candidate.

Please note that nominations received after the deadline will not be considered.
Being a Director is a significant responsibility, but it also offers rewarding opportunities for personal and professional growth. Your involvement can make a meaningful difference in shaping the future of the Association and positively impact the businesses of our members.

NHIA will be providing further notice and details of its thirty-first AGM in due course, but at this time would like members to diarise the date, Wednesday 30th July 2025.
This is where NHIA will announce who has secured Director positions.
AGENDA ITEMS FOR ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
This communication also serves to call for members to submit agenda items for the Annual General Meeting to by close of business, 5:00pm on Friday 11th July 2025.
Please note that the Association rules state that Ordinary business items on the AGM Agenda require a simple majority of those authorised votes that are exercised at the meeting. Special business items that would require an alteration to the Rules would require the vote of at least three-fourths (75%) of the authorised votes that are exercised at the Annual General Meeting.
