NHIA is managed by a Board of Directors elected by Members in accordance with the Rules of the Association so as to ensure representation which reflects the distribution of the industry throughout Australia. The following are current Board Members:
Chairman: Mr Gordon Stewart, representing the State of Victoria
Deputy Chairman: Mr Gerard Daniel, representing the State of Victoria, proprietor of Numurkah Nu-Genes.
Mr Rod Brasher, representing the States of Western Australia, South Australia and Tasmania, proprietor of Westside AB, Bunbury, WA.
Mr Tony Francis, Director with Special Skills, Marketing Manager for MISTRO and Herd Improvement Co-operative Australia Ltd (“hico”) which was formerly known as Gippsland Herd Improvement.
Mr Steve Fried, representing the State of New South Wales, and General Manager of ABS Australia, Table Top, New South Wales.
Dr Ray Johnson, representing the State of Victoria, and Chief Executive Officer of Genetics Australia Co-Op Ltd, Bacchus Marsh, VIC.
Mr Peter Semmens, representing the State of New South Wales, and Manager of World Wide Sires/Australia, Albury, New South Wales.
Operational and day to day management of the organisation is through the General Manager, Ms Carol Millar
